About Rekindling Hearts and Homes
Rekindling Hearts and Homes was created for anyone who has ever felt lost, disconnected, or unsure of where they belong.
This space is for the wanderers, the broken, the searching, the healing—and those finding their way back.
My journey hasn’t been perfect. There was a time in my life where my faith wavered, where I felt pulled into darkness, confusion, and distance from God. I know what it feels like to lose direction, to feel alone, and to question everything. But I also know what it feels like to be found.
Through that darkness, Jesus met me where I was—not where I “should have been,” but right in the middle of my struggle. And over time, step by step, He brought me back into the light. Not instantly, not easily—but faithfully.
That experience is the foundation of this space.
Rekindling Hearts and Homes exists to reach those who feel far away—those who are struggling with faith, battling loneliness, facing depression, living with mental health challenges, or trying to rebuild what feels broken within themselves or their families.
Whether you are a believer, a new believer, unsure of what you believe, or simply searching for peace—you are welcome here.
Our mission is simple, but deeply meaningful:
to share truth, offer hope, and remind people that no one is too far gone.
We believe that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the light—and that through Him, healing and restoration are always possible. No matter how far down the path you feel you’ve gone, there is always a way back. The first step is a choice—the choice to step out of the darkness and begin moving toward the light.
It’s not an easy journey. Growth rarely is.
But it is a process—and every right step, no matter how small, leads somewhere better.
Here, you’ll find:
-
Real stories from people who have experienced struggle, growth, and transformation
-
Weekly spiritual insights rooted in Scripture to guide and encourage you
-
A space to ask questions, share your thoughts, and connect with others
-
The opportunity to reach out and be heard by someone who truly cares
More than anything, this is a place of reconnection.
Reconnection to faith.
Reconnection to purpose.
Reconnection to family.
Reconnection to hope.
Even in life’s hardest moments, joy can still be found—and you don’t have to walk that path alone.
No matter where you’ve been or what you’re facing, there is still light ahead.
And you are always welcome here.
My Story
This isn't a story about having it all together - this is a story about being confronted by the truth.
There was a time in my life when I was living in darkness, caught in habitual sin, choosing my own desires over everything else. I knew what I was doing, and I kept doing it anyway. But in the middle of that, something happened that I couldn't ignore.
I saw Jesus on the cross - suffering. And deep down, I knew it wasn't just a vision...it was conviction. It was the reality that He suffered not just for the world, but for ME - for the very choices I was continuing to make.
I thought I was losing my mind. But I wasn't.
God was showing me exactly where my life was heading if I didn't change. And in that moment, I had to face a hard truth: the person that I was becoming was not who I was created to be.
I had a choice.
Keep going down that path...or surrender.
I chose to admit that I am a sinner. I chose to believe in what Jesus did on that cross. And I chose to be His.
That decision didn't just change me - it saved my life, my purpose, and my family. As a parent, I came dangerously close to losing what mattered most because of my sin. This is personal. This is real.
That's why this space exists.
This blog is for those who feel stuck in cycles they can't break, for those who know deep down they're not living the life that they were meant to live, and for those who are ready to stop running and start surrendering.
I'm not here to sugarcoat the truth. I'm here to share it.
Because freedom starts with honesty. Change starts with a choice. And it's never too late to turn back to God.
