About Rekindling Hearts and Homes

Rebuilding the Altar - One Heart, One Home at a Time

My Story: When the Fire Was Rekindled

There was a season when I looked around and saw the pieces of a broken family - the pain in my son's eyes, the distance in my marriage, and the emptiness in my heart.  I realized the life I was living was shaping not only my character, but also my destiny.

That was my turning point.

On my way to a new job, I started listening to Focus on the Family on Word FM every morning.  What began as a background noise became a lifeline - words of truth and hope that softened my heart.  Peace began to replace fear.  Conviction followed. Slowly, I laid down old habits  - drugs, drinking, distractions that dulled my spirit.

Each surrender felt like placing another piece of my life on the altar, where God rebuilt me from the inside out.

I didn't know it then, but He was rekindling more than just my own heart - He was preparing to rekindle my home.

THE MEANING BEHIND THE ALTAR

In the Old Testament, the altar was where sacrifices were made and God's fire fell - the meeting place between heaven and earth.

Today I see the altar as a picture of the heart - the place where we surrender, repent, and let God's fire burn away what no longer belongs.

When we rebuild the altar within us, we make room for his presence to dwell again - and when one heart catches fire, it spreads.

First to our homes.

Then to our communities

Then to the world.

THE HEART BEHIND THE MOVEMENT

Rekindling Hearts and Homes was born out of the transformation - my own altar experience.

The ministry isn't just an organization; it's a movement of faith-filled homes.  It's a call for families to come together again - to pray, to forgive, to worship, to laugh, and to make room for God's presence in the middle of real life.

Through retreats, family activities, and resources for daily faith, we help rebuild what the enemy has tried to scatter - one spark, one step, on surrendered heart at a time.

Vision

I see Rekindling Hearts and Homes growing into a movement of revival with families - where husbands and wives rediscover one another through grace, children witness authentic faith, and homes become living altars of God's love.

When a heart is rekindled, a home is restored.  When homes are restored, a generation is changed.
